Not all design proposals warrant a detailed specification with elaborately rendered illustrations. The initial implementation of this e-greeting card demo, shown in the before slide, was an accretion of functionality with no organization. A proposed revision, the after slide below, proposes an organization that makes sense of the features of the demo. The top area is reserved for addressing information. The left column presents buttons that change the content of the postcard. The bottom area shows the properties of the selected object and lets the user modify them. The right column of buttons access action commands you would see in a file menu. The new design is rendered as a schematic wire frame.
